BT Race to Infinity
WAI have been working with AMV BBDO to launch the nationwide competition for the race to infinity which will enable BT to identify the “hot spots” where demand is high in the UK and subsequently influence the company’s future deployment plans.
Users are asked to vote on the site by entering their postcode and telephone numbers. During the voting process, the user can cast their vote if this broadband service is currently not available in their area and if they are not already on BT's rollout plan. The top 5 exchanges with the most votes will be fast tracked to have BT Infinity installed in their area by 2012.
The site which was designed and built by WAI followed AMV BBDO's concept and is a mixture of Flash, HTML and PHP and multiple mapping APIs. Various social media functions are integrated within the site, such as utilising Facebook Connect and Twitter. The site is also heavily integrated with BT's exchange API for the Voting process.
